Recently tested them with the simplest question of all "which version of remote software is your most current?" Again, no response except the same thing they always do which is send an email asking for ALL my registration information again and again. Again, attempted to obtain support - Zero. This was an extensive and expensive installation to complete, so I could not simply pull out the unit and return to Costco. It wasn't till the system was completely installed that it became apparent there is NO Audio capability. Purchased Night Owl 4 camera system from Costco. I don't ever write reviews but the person And I have never had any problems around my home since I have this system. Anyone thinking about getting a security system for a good price and outstanding support get a nightowl. Now I can check on my dog all the time plus worry free system. Thank you very much for the person that helped me. They walked me through the steps and was very understanding with me because I'm not good with computers and app on my phone. Called customer support again and the person I chated with was the most helpful customer service person I have ever delt with. Had problems getting it hooked on my phone. So I could watch my old dog when he's in the yard. So today I thought I'd hook it up to my mobile phone. I have had it running for over a year 24/7 and have had no problems with it at all. After chating with support I couldn't believe the picture. It took a bit of drilling and running the cable about 3 hours for 4 camera's only because o ran it through the attic. And ordered a night owl 8.0 4k HYBRID wired unit. I saw night owl and the cost was in my price range. I had a out her security system but it failed when something went on in front of my home. There are walkthroughs for this all over the web, I'm sure remember to pinhole your firewall to the port you set in MOBILE settings on the IP of the device itself. otherwise, you'll have to do it on the NightOwl unit itself. reboot your NightOwl and it should "stick". so if you change the settings via web interface, after it says "SUCCESS". NOTE: IF you setup these items via the web interface to your NightOwl. Ģ] Setup username & password in MOBILE settings you'll have to do the following as well on your NightOwl unit. that if it didn't match the DeviceName in the NightOwl setup field found under System->Advanced->Info. then select model you have (this gives you the ASee.apk file required for your Android that connects to your model)Ģ] Save that ASee.apk file to your phone (I connected via USB Storage and saved to SD root directory)ģ] Go to Market/Play and download the apkInstaller application (just like it is spelled here, there's only one with that spelling)Ĥ] Run apkInstaller, select your ASee.apk file and it installs the Mobile Viewer app on your phone (you may have to enable Download/Install Unknown Sources in your phone settings temporarily)ĥ] When you setup the "config" settings in the ASee Application, IP/PORT/USERNAME/PASSWORD are what you setup on the NightOwl Unit itself. is here:ġ] NightOwlSp dot com is the locatoin of the support/files for NightOwl Products. ![]() GREAT POST!
